Boat knowledge for better decisions

About B-Atlas

B-Atlas is an independent boat knowledge and research resource built to help people move from a broad idea of the boat they want to a smaller set of models worth serious investigation.

What B-Atlas is trying to solve

Boat research is fragmented. Specifications may be spread across manufacturer brochures, owner groups, archived manuals, broker listings and forum discussions. Model names change, production runs evolve, and older boats are often documented inconsistently. B-Atlas brings that information into a common structure so models can be researched and compared more easily.

What you can research

Boat model guides

Dimensions, hull behaviour, propulsion, configuration, production information, cruising performance where documented, practical strengths and trade-offs.

Boats by need

Research pages organized around questions such as beam limits, fuel type, propulsion arrangement, size and cruising mission.

Manufacturers

Browse model families by builder and move directly from manufacturer history to individual model research.

Community knowledge

Specifications alone rarely tell the whole story. B-Atlas is designed to improve through corrections, manuals, photographs, model history and practical ownership experience. Contributions are reviewed before they become part of the permanent knowledge base.

Independent and free to use

B-Atlas is intended to remain useful first: a research resource rather than a marketplace search engine. The site is free to use. Voluntary support helps cover the cost of maintaining and expanding the project.

Research carefully

B-Atlas describes boat models, not the condition of an individual vessel. Production changes, optional equipment, refits and owner modifications can make two examples of the same model materially different. Important dimensions, machinery and condition should be verified on the specific boat before purchase.
